Duncan is a violinist, fiddler, and music producer from the state of Vermont (USA). He began studying Nova Scotian fiddling techniques at a young age, learning from various contemporary Cape Breton masters throughout his childhood. In 2019, he formed the folk duo Duncan & Stokes with fellow Vermonter and childhood friend Ethan Stokes.

In January 2020, Duncan and Ethan joined forces with Maine-based folk cellist/singer/songwriter Elsie Gawler to form Wake Robin
